OUR MOUNTAINS & VALLEYS
NORTHERN NEW YORK

To order a copy of Our Mountains & Valleys contact Michael Ringer Galleries

Years ago Michael Ringer began an odyssey of capturing the rhythms of life of the St. Lawrence River. His drawings and paintings caught the attention of Harold E. Herrick Jr. of Cape Vincent who had devoted years to telling the story of the St. Lawrence, its boats and its human guests. Inspired by Harold, Mike Ringer is the preeminent story teller of the St. Lawrence. He has used his knowledge, his skillful observation and deft hands to produce a lifetime of work which will forever record the grandeur of the River and its residents.

Now Mike Ringer has applied his skills to the Adirondacks. Never complacent, Mike Ringer explored the wilds of the Adirondacks using another genre of specialized guide boat to find those wonders of natural beauty that distinguish the St. Lawrence River’s mountainous eastern neighborhood.

Mike has juxtaposed his mighty powers of creativity to produce Our Mountains & Valleys Northern New York. This work defines the uniqueness of the North Country by reflecting the interrelationship of the mighty St. Lawrence and the forested peaks, thousands of streams, lakes and bogs of the Adirondacks. This unique book defines for future generations of New Yorkers  the North Country and its physical dominance in a world of natural beauty.
